Growthpoint supported Love Sport Africa by providing full sports kits for our players. In many under-resourced communities, young athletes compete in mismatched or worn-out clothing, and having access to proper kits shifts how they see themselves. 

When our girls stepped onto the field in their new gear that fitted well and carried their team’s name, it changed the atmosphere of competition. A proper kit does not only serve a functional purpose. It affirms that players are part of something organised and worthy of attention. It strengthens identity within the team and gives young people confidence in representing their community.

This partnership addressed the gap that is rarely spoken about in youth development. Resources for coaching, facilities, and transport are often discussed, but the dignity that comes with looking like a team is too easily overlooked. Growthpoint’s contribution directly responded to that need. It showed that investment in young athletes must include not just training but the visible tools that allow them to take themselves seriously.

For our players, the kits were a reminder that their commitment is valued and that they deserve to participate on equal footing. The support created more than a uniform; it created a sense of recognition that will stay with them long after the match has ended.
